HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BRIAN... 80th ANNIVERSARY OF BRIAN MULRONEY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BRIAN... 80th ANNIVERSARY OF BRIAN MULRONEY -
By Bernard Bujold -
Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney celebrates his 80th birthday on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
Brian always been a mentor for me and from our first meeting around 1982, I admired the character with whom I had the pleasure and the honor to collaborate.
When Brian ran as a candidate during the 1984 election campaign, I was one of his collaborator and direct supporter.
His political program was comparable to the one of Donald Trump in 2016. Managing Canada as a private company. Once elected, however, Brian realized that Ottawa is a "deep state" in itself and he had to change his plan.
In my book, Brian Mulroney and Donald Trump are two individuals who are similar in their personality and that is why the two connect with me. Politically both Brian and Donald are advocates of resilience and with age they understand that the important thing in life is to survive the trip.
That's the philosophy I share...
Happy birthday Dear Brian Mulroney!

NATASHA RICHARDSON - 10 YEARS IN 2019

NATASHA RICHARDSON - 10 YEARS IN 2019 -
By Bernard Bujold-
On Sunday, March 15, 2009, I had descended the Nansen ski slope in Mont Tremblant several times.
On Monday, March 16, Natasha Richardson was going down the same slope but she made one falling, which will be fatal to her! I often wondered if Natasha had crashed in the same place where I too, the day before, had once or twice fall on the Nansen?
Natasha Richardson died after her fall while skiing and on the evening of March 18, the family spokesperson announced her death....

CHANGING THE WORLD IN 2019

CHANGING THE WORLD IN 2019 -
By Bernard Bujold-
Friday, March 15 will be considered as the #ClimateSrike Day around the world. A kind of joint demonstration by young teenagers who want to change the world in terms of climate and who demonstrate on the streets rather than in the classroom.
Will the process achieve its goal?
Changing the world is not easy and of the millions of people who dream of doing so, only about ten people or so succeed in achieving this goal during their lifetime. I am thinking here of a Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, or more recently a René Angélil. Others have made remarkable efforts but unfortunately failed in the end, such as René Lévesque.
Personally, I dreamed of changing the world 5 or 6 times. I never changed "THE" world but I changed "MY" world...
The effort of the young people with the #ClimateStrike project is commendable, as was the one of the RED SQUARE. But in the case of the Red Squares, we cannot say that the world has changed...
Life is a journey and I continually repeat Shakespeare's phrase from his tragedy Julius Ceasar to those around me: "There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries..."
