QUEBEC IS IN A STATE OF WAR -  By Bernard Bujold - The whole province of Quebec is in a state of war, since Saturday evening, January 9, 2021 with the general curfew that applies from 8:00 p.m. until the morning of February 8, at the very least.  The situation of confinement recalls the dramatic period of wartime measures experienced in 1970.  The city of Montreal, for one, looked like a ghost town on Saturday night and the only living presences were the street lights and the police officers? Dog walkers are allowed to go out in the streets, but who wants to walk in a ghost town? TOLERANCE, FEAR, VENGEANCE AND RESILIENCE - By Bernard Bujold - Human civilization is largely based on four principles of survival:  1. tolerance;  2. fear;  3. revenge (punishment);  4. resilience.  We can see this phenomenon worldwide and in particular currently in the United States and Quebec. If "half" of Americans must have been tolerant of Donald Trump, they are now in revenge mode! In Quebec, citizens are tolerant of confinement because they are afraid, afraid of fines in the event of non-compliance with the instructions of Prime Minister François Legault ...  Personally, I'm more of the resilient type but I'm never scared. SOCIAL MEDIA IN 2021 - By Bernard Bujold - The year 2021 will totally question the role of social media in our society!  Personally, I don't have any problems because I check at the entrance. Every day, I delete on average two or three rude comments posted on one of my 5 or 6 social media pages and, every month, I eliminate one or two contacts that are too disturbing... Just think of a social media page as the holder's living room. As much as I would never dare to go to someone else's page and be brazen, I don't tolerate any insults!  But it is obvious that the very existence of social media will be transformed in the coming months. The two events that will have caused the change will be the current crisis in Washington and the closure of President Donald Trump's Facebook and Twitter accounts.  Nothing lasts forever, and one has to remember that MySpace was, a few years ago, the center of the Internet universe and today it has disappeared.  To be continued!  www.le

THE FUTURE OF DONALD TRUMP-  By Bernard Bujold -  Politics is an act of selling to a target audience. Donald Trump had targeted his audience, which represented about half of all Americans people. Donald's sales company (Republican Party) fired him but his target audience still exists. He will have to find another company for his selling...  In my view, his future will be a new media that he will create with his family and friends (Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham) who will help him built a new anchor. He could also buy an existing media such as FOX News from Rupert Murdoch's family.  One star that is in the making: BARRON TRUMP. Watch this guy as he is tall, nice looking and he loves his father style!  As far as Mike Pence is concerned, he's out. He was Trump's right hand man but now he is his Judas. QUEBEC IN CONFINEMENT -  By Bernard Bujold -  Premier François Legault confirmed the various containment and curfew measures as informally announced by the media since Monday. TOTAL LOCKDOWN   IN QUEBEC -  By Bernard Bujold -  The announcement of total lockdown in Quebec by Premier François Legault will take place this Wednesday evening, January 6, 2021 at 5 p.m. A general curfew would also be announced starting at 8 or 9 p.m. (under negotiation). All measures would begin Saturday, January 9.
