THE BOOK OF THE SUMMER 2017 - UNDERSTANDING TRUMP  By Bernard Bujold-  I am all set for my summer reading with the new book about Donald Trump: "UNDERSTANDING TRUMP" by Newt Gingrich.  A real look on how Donald won his race for the White House! Before the campaign, Donald asked Gingrich: “So, what’s the bottom line financially?” Gingrich said that he could be competitive for about $70 to $80 million. After a moment of thought, Donald said, “$70 to 80 million: that would be the price of a yacht. This race would be a lot more fun than a yacht!”  For a summer of pleasure and motivation, this is the book to read, at least for me...  Have a nice summer 2017 and a good read!  See website

ROBERT CAMPEAU 1923-2017  By Bernard Bujold - The businessman Bob Campeau died Monday, June 12, at his residence in Ottawa at the age of 93.   Campeau was a colorful and ambitious entrepreneur who can be categorized as Paul Desmarais, Frank Stronach, and even a Donald Trump.  Robert Campeau dominated his empire until the day he bet on a scenario of expansion too favorable and then he had to face an uncontrollable rise in interest rates notably after his acquisition of the luxury stores Federated in the United States.  Bob Campeau first made his mark in the construction of bungalows in the Ottawa area.  The spouse of Pauline Marois, the former Premier of Quebec, Claude Blanchet, made a fortune following his association with Campeau when he was one of his first executive assistants. THE PARTY IS OVER...  By Bernard Bujold -  I accepted two or three times the invitation by Lise Thibault and what surprised me was the passion of the other guests. They were all very important people in our society but they were doing "genuflexion" before Lise and considered it an immense honor to be invited to her events.  They considered Lise even more noble than themselves!  When she arrived in her garden, all the dignitaries stood up like soldiers...  This is what I find hypocritical because the guest dignitaries have benefited as much from the gifts of Lise as Lise herself...  Me, I never went back to her party after the two or three times because I found it too fake and a bit comical!  However I must say that I still kept the golf balls she had given me...  Lise took advantage of the system but the thousands of dignitaries who accepted her gifts (party on the grass, sale of art works by artists to Lise who then she gave back to her ...
