ANNIVERSARY OF JUNE 28, 2018

ANNIVERSARY OF JUNE 28, 2018  By Bernard Bujold - I try to live as much as possible in the "Now Moment". However, I recognize that with the passage of time, the youth is also going away... And in my perception of life, the only real wealth of life is youth!  Fortunately, my life philosophy is: "Life is a game with toys! Nothing more, nothing less... " I therefore remain eternally young, at least in spirit.  Long live my birthday of June 28, 2018!  See photo album

LA PRESSE - MAY 8, 2018

LA PRESSE - MAY 8, 2018  By Bernard Bujold- The date of May 8, 2018 will go down in history as the date of La Presse's abandonment by Power Corporation.  Indeed, the idea is great from a financial point of view but tragic in terms of the future of Quebec media.  The formula chosen by Power Corporation to get rid of LA PRESSE and regain its losses of $400 million is copied directly from the US formula of a media like PRO PUBLICA founded in 2007 by one of the Wall Street Journal editors, Paul Steiger, who had left the WSJ when Rupert Murdoch acquired it in 2007. The operation of PRO PUBLICA is entirely funded by donations from wealthy business people.  However, it requires a strong market and if the United States can effectively support this kind of media, the situation is not comparable here in Quebec. The closest example of a Quebec non-profit media outlet would be Le Devoir and we all know its financial difficulties.  Clearly, Power Corporation has just ...

NAPOLEON AT THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS OF MONTREAL (2018)

NAPOLEON AT THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS OF MONTREAL - By Bernard Bujold- I took advantage of Easter 2018 to visit the Napoleon exhibition at the Museum des fine arts of Montreal.  The least that can be said is that my friend, collector and expert in Napoleon's history, Ben Weider (1923-2008) would have been very happy to visit it. Moreover, several pieces of the Weider collection are on display, including the famous felt hat of Napoleon that I had the chance to touch when Ben kept it at his residence.  The Fine Arts  Museum's exhibitions are always exceptional and Napoleon's is no exception. I also love their beautiful gifts shop but most of all, I never go to the Museum of Fine Arts without going to greet my old lady friend "October" who never gets old from one visit to another since the first one in 1991...  The Napoleon exhibition continues until May 6.  A must to be seen!  SEE ALBUM PHOTO EXHIBITION NAPOLEON

ON MARCH 14, 2018 ...  By Bernard Bujold- Is it a bad dream or reality?  We are indeed March 14 and Mr. Snowman is indeed on the balcony door!  Conclusion: "It must be the reality."  But one day Spring will come! Be strong...  SEE PHOTOS
