by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -  The closing ceremony of the 2016 Montreal World Film Festival was a success and Serge Losique took the opportunity to announce that the 2017 Festival, the 41st edition, will take place from 24 August to 4 September 2017.  The Festival (WFF) in 2016 was presented without any financial means and with the help of last minute of a dozen volunteers. The call for volunteers is however not unique to the FFM and many other events such as the Rogers Cup in tennis have volunteer networks for many years. In conclusion: the official competition WFF 2016 took place; money prizes with a total value of $ 1 million paid by a sponsor were distributed; movie lovers were at the event; and the official certification of INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF FILM PRODUCERS ASSOCIATIONS (FIAPF) is maintained.  We can only congratulate Serge Losique and recognize that he is the undisputed Master of film festivals. by Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -  The beautiful actress Isabelle Adjani was the star of the World Film Festival of Montreal in 2004 and she was again in 2016.  I had photographed her in 2004 and Isabelle had then been my inspiration for my passion for the Internet and for LeStudio1.com project in 2005. She published some of my photos of her on her personal website.  I could not miss the 2006 reunion and take the opportunity to go greet her. Isabelle Adjani is still beautiful and radiant. By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1)-  The World Film Festival Montreal 2016 is well taken off and the Cinema Imperial is full again as in the heyday. The films are varied and excellent from love stories like the Chinese film "LOOKING FOR THE HOLY LAND" to gun dealers stories at the time of the Samurai of Japan. This film "TATARA SAMURAI" highlights a principle to be applied more than ever in our time: "Never get out his gun (samurai) if it is possible to set the war by the word ..." And what about this great movie from Russia about a young journalist "THE END OF A BEAUTIFUL ERA! by Bernard Bujold - (LeStudio1)  The 11th Montreal edition of the prestigious annual contest WORLD PRESS PHOTO 2016 is presented to the Bonsecours Market, from 31 August to 2 October A total of 150 winning images of the year, as well as four additional exhibitions. Among the themes of the 2016 edition we notice the crisis of Syrian refugees, the terrorist attacks in Paris and the earthquake in Nepal.  A very interesting exhibition to see this fall season.  SEE PHOTO ALBUM ;

MONTREAL WORLD FILM FESTIVAL 2016- by Bernard Bujold-  The MONTREAL WORLD FILM FESTIVAL 2016 will be less "festive" than in the past years but such is life.  I have experienced beautiful moments at the FFM and wonderful encounters with Depardieu (Gerard and Julie) and of course Isabelle Adjani. I also experienced the thrills when David Novek was in charge of the media!  The 2016 edition exists, but in a reduced manner... There is a competition of cinema, films in competition and spectators; and for that reason, Serge Losique will be able to say that there was a FFM 2016 and maintain its official world accreditation for Canada.  I wrote earlier this week: Serge Losique is a very smart man and he knows that he has a master card in his game! This card is the official accreditation by the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF FILM PRODUCERS ASSOCIATIONS (FIAPF). BY BERNARD BUJOLD -  While we are at least three months (83 days) from the US elections, what are the chances of Donald Trump to defeat his opponent Hillary Clinton?  If the political machine of the Democratic Party is perfectly aligned, one element remains unpredictable and it is the candidate Hillary Clinton. FBI folders that are revealed day after day about alleged illegal activities or his health following an accident that she suffered following a fall on the head in December 2012.  In politics, a victory is never acquired before the final counting of the vote.  The perfect example is Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister. Throughout the election campaign in October 2015, Justin trailed in the polls and no media pronounced him the potential winner. Some journalists were even betting that he would be replaced as leader after the election...  We know the result when he won a majority with 184 MPs on a total of 338.  I projected a number of 18...
