DONALD TRUMP AND THE SPINNING OF THE RACING CAR...

DONALD TRUMP AND THE SPINNING OF THE RACING CAR- By Bernard Bujold -  Donald Trump was a great campaigner during the US Presidential election of 2016, if not the greatest of all, and Hillary Clinton admit it in her new book WHAT HAPPENED.  She is also adding, of course, that Donald Trump is a very bad President, but that is another story...  More and more political observers and journalists, even those who voted against him, are admitting that Donald Trump is lot similar in his way of doing things as was Ronald Reagan in his days.  Reagan was a real champion during the election against Jimmy Carter but got a very slow start as President. He was called the "Hollywood Actor" like Donald Trump is called the "Reality TV Host". But at the end of his two mandates as President, Ronald Reagan was considered one of greatest President in the modern history of the United States.  Many think that the same judgment will be applied to Donald Trump after his time....

AFTERNOON WITH DUCKS...  By Bernard Bujold -  With the summer coming soon to an end, it is still very pleasant to spend an afternoon at the edge of the pond with the ducks. Personally, I spent a recent weekend with "one duck", only one, who had adopted me and wanted to be my friend! And friendship, one cannot not refuse it, especially from a nice duck...  Happy end of summer 2017!  SEE PHOTOS

RAFAEL NADAL WON THE US OPEN TENNIS 2017

Rafael Nadal won his third US Open men’s singles title with a 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 victory over first-time finalist Kevin Anderson inside Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday afternoon September 10, 2017 This victory gave the 31-year-old Spaniard his 16th Grand Slam crown, the second-most of all time behind only Roger Federer, who won his 19th earlier this summer at Wimbledon.  Nadal is now one of only six players in the Open era to win at least three US Open men’s singles championships, along with Federer, Pete Sampras and Jimmy Connors, who have five each; John McEnroe, who has four; and Ivan Lendl, who won three.  "Been a great two weeks," Nadal said after his triumph. "Increasing level of tennis, increasing of confidence during that two weeks. Yeah, I have this trophy with me again here in New York. There is no better way to finish the Grand Slam season for me after a very emotional season in all aspects. "So very happy the way that I played, happy the way that I managed...

POPE FRANCIS AND THE MODERN MASS

Image
THE POPE AND THE NEW VATICAN LAW - By Bernard Bujold- Pope Francis has used his absolute authority in the Vatican to decentralize once more the power from Rome since his election and he is going now against some of his Cardinals by making a widespread change to the ways, and words, in which Roman Catholics worship in the church by amending Vatican law to give bishop around the world a greater authority in translating liturgical language for the mass.  Some conservative opponents to the Pope favored the return to Latin Mass, or at least more faithful translations to it in the local language, and they wanted the church hierarchy in Rome to ensure global universality and unity by making all of those translations uniform. The amendment is a significant development in a liturgical schism that has split Catholics across the world which is evident at the highest echelons of the church.  The new law announced this Saturday September 9, 2017 will go into effect on October 1. TEX LECOR (1933-2017)

TEX LECOR (1933-2017)  By Bernard Bujold-  The artist Tex Lecor died in the night of Friday to Saturday September 9, 2017 as a result of pulmonary complications. He was 84 years old.  His real name was Paul Lecorre and he was born on June 10, 1933 in Saint-Michel-de-Wentworth, north of Lachute, in the Laurentians.  This artist TEX, who was loved by all, will be remembered as one of the greatest poets of Quebec; a humorist with his insolence of a telephone; and finally a painter.  Personally it is his musical work that touched me most because his songs reflected the traditional Quebec of the seventies, years of my adolescence. One can compare him to a Felix Leclerc at the level of his poetry deeply identified to Quebec and his people.  Tex Lecor had retired from the musical world since the beginning of 1980 and devoted himself to his first trade as a painter, a trade he had studied at the Montreal School of Fine Arts from 1951 to 1958 with other artis...

CRUISE SHIPS SEASON 2017 -  By Bernard Bujold -  With the approach of the autumn also arrives the cruising season and the gigantic ships which stop at the Old Port of Montreal. Cruises always make one dream and for me it always reminds me of this passage of Shakespeare in the text Julius Caesar: "... There is a wave on the ocean of life, which if taken at the right time at the shore will lead the vessel to new lands full of hope and promise; but if it is missed then it will be failure and misery ... HILLARY CLINTON OFFERS A CHRISTMAS GIFT TO DONALD TRUMP...

HILLARY CLINTON OFFERS A CHRISTMAS GIFT TO DONALD TRUMP... By Bernard Bujold -  President Donald Trump is very pleased with Hillary Clinton's new book: WHAT HAPPENED.  And there are many reasons to be enthusiastic! With this book, Hillary Clinton starts again her lost presidential campaign by creating the division and attacking Bernie Sanders, Jim Comey, and even Barack Obama to whom she criticizes for not having enough talked against Russia during the campaign.  Hillary also writes many negative criticisms about her political party and finally she attacks directly the media including The New York Times.  This book will surely divide by the inside the Democratic party already very weak and without leader.  The book will also indirectly assist in the re-election of Donald Trump in 2020 as the arguments presented by Hillary Clinton repeat exactly those of the current American President...  A book to read and a best-seller assured... in addition to be...
