Image
A STORY OF RICH AND FAMOUS PEOPLE  By Bernard Bujold - Frank Stronach and his daughter Belinda are at war...  A story worthy of the best cinema!  Frank began his journey to fortune in 1954, a young immigrant landed in Montreal, picking up golf balls and then, in 1956 after moving to Toronto, starting a small garage of custom-made auto parts (metal shop) , garage that will become the MAGNA international empire. Frank has been a man of passion all his life and politics is one of them. He was a good friend of Brian Mulroney.  Belinda is a wealthy dad girl and her father wanted to make her the leader of the Conservative Party. But despite her father's money to finance the bid, she lost in front of the sober and unrich Stephen Harper...  Subsequently Belinda joined Paul Martin as minister. She was then the lover of conservative Peter McKay! Belinda was often seen in Mont Tremblant with Bill Clinton to the point where the rumor in t...

STEPHEN HARPER AND DONALD TRUMP  By Bernard Bujold - The former Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper wrote a new book:"RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW - Politics and leadership in the age of disruption".  It is about modern politics in the world and according to him, the election of Donald Trump is not an isolated event. All around the world, except in Canada which is still not polarized about politics, elsewhere regular working people are starting to oppose the elite of society and they are voting and electing leaders like Donald Trump.  According to Harper, this society movement will not go away neither can be reversed. Instead, the politicians will have to adapt and consider the regular people interests.  Stephen Harper's book is interesting and demonstrate the political acumen of the former Prime Minister. STEPHEN HARPER AND POLITICS IN 2018

Image
STEPHEN HARPER AND THE POLITICS IN 2018  By Bernard Bujold- The rise of populism has drawn condemnation from across the political spectrum. But as former prime minister Stephen J. Harper argues in his new book, "Right Here, Right Now: Politics and Leadership in the Age of Disruption", the so-called “deplorables” who have voted establishment figures like Hillary Clinton out of office deserve a careful hearing.  Their concerns point to deep problems with globalization — and they aren’t going away...  "My diagnosis is simple: the populist trend will not stop until the issues driving it are being effectively addressed. New technologies are remaking jobs and communities. Cultural norms are shifting almost randomly. Seemingly no institution or aspect of traditional life is immune."  SEE EXCERPT FROM STEPHEN HARPER BOOK

THE HAPPINESS OF THE COWBOY IN 2018

THE HAPPINESS OF THE COWBOY IN 2018  By Bernard Bujold -  Several friends ask me if I am a man destroyed following the election of François Legault whereas I had rather projected a victory of Philippe Couillard?  Personally, I admit, I never considered that Legault should be elected Prime Minister. This can probably explain the failure in my projection that was not objective. Yet I was no more a fan of Philippe Couillard and I did not vote for him any more than for Manon Massé. In my opinion, the candidate who was the most developed in terms of his political ideas was Jean-François Lisée. And since the economy is healthy, I saw no reason to change government.  It seems that voters do not vote on the ideas or the intellectual side of the program...  But we must however accept the choice of the majority. I do not have to share it or love it, but you have to accept it.  In 2016, I had successfully projected Donald Trump's election! But it was not Trump'...
