ELECTIONS CANADA 2019 - JUSTIN TRUDEAU AGAINST JODY WILSON  By Bernard Bujold - Politics is a sport whose outcome is unpredictable and one can think of horse racing or, closer to us in time, the US Open tennis tournament.  Justin Trudeau plays in the manner of Rafael Nadal, often from behind in the game but he clings and finally wins despite obstacles and mistakes.  Jody Wilson could have been a kind of Bianca Andreescu if she had accepted the offer of Elisabeth May who offered her the leadership of the Green Party. Imagine the campaign with Jody at the head of a pro environment party in 2019. She could have participated in the debates and especially, face Justin Trudeau directly on the field as a party leader in the final.  Unfortunately, this is not the scenario and Justin may win the political championship as Nadal did in tennis at the US Open... THE GREY NUNS OF OLD MONTREAL -2019  By Bernard Bujold-  A group of the Grey Nuns of Montreal has long lived in Old Montreal in the former hospital of the congregation. They lived their daily lives and religious life there with the celebration of masses and prayers.  Several times a week, I walk past the building and I have always been attracted by the mysterious nature of the place. I visited the Sisters three or four times when they were doing "Annual Open Houses" and I loved talking with them. Unfortunately, the ten sisters or so from Old Montreal all left and abandoned the residence in 2017 to join their colleagues who had gathered elsewhere in 2013 in a Rosemont residence. THE CHAMPIONS US OPEN 2019 - By Bernard Bujold - It can be concluded that the 2019 US Open tennis tournament was the fight between generations, veterans against beginners. We could also say that we have witnessed the beginning of the change of era in modern tennis!  First came Saturday evening (September 7) with the surprising victory of Canadian Bianca Andreescu (19 years old) against legend Serena Williams (37 years old). It should be noted that the champion Williams started her professional tennis career in 1995 while Bianca was only born on June 6, 2000...  On Sunday evening (September 8), tennis fans were able to experience history once again as champion Rafael Nadal (33 years old) struggled to win the tournament final against young athlete Danill Medvedev (23 years old).
