NOVA SCOTIA KILLING

NOVA SCOTIA KILLING - (18-19 April 2020)  By Bernard Bujold -  A total of at least 19 victims were killed by the mad gunman, Gabriel Wortman, 51, near the small village of Portapique, Nova Scotia.  The man was a denturist by profession, financially comfortable with two offices for his dental services and several residential properties.  Gabriel Wortman was a very sympathetic man, much loved in his Nova Scotia community. The only red light in his past, at university in the late 80's in Fredericton, New Brunswick, he had no real friends, except for a girl, and the other students made fun of him.  The Nova Scotia killer owned a dental clinic (dentures) in Halifax that had had to be closed due to COVID-19. According to his neighbours, who were consulted by reporters, Wortman was very affected by the closure and he also has drinking problems.  It could be believed that his madness was caused by the isolation of the Coronavirus and that alcohol aggravated t...

CORONAVIRUS AND CHINA

CORONAVIRUS AND CHINA  By Bernard Bujold- There is increasing confidence that the outbreak likely originated in a Wuhan lab, not as a bioweapon but as part of a Chinese effort to show that its efforts to identify and combat viruses were equal or greater than those of the U.S. Additionally, sources believe that the World Health Organization was either complicit in the coverup or looked the other way.  The holes in the information disseminated from the UN body – the only international group tasked with global health – are ascending. According to the Wall Street Journal, doctors in Wuhan were aware the virus could spread between humans as early as the beginning of December, with patients falling ill despite having had no exposure to the wet market. It is hard to say definitively at this point, which is why there needs to be an independent, external investigation into the WHO response to COVID-19 and China's potential influence over its decisions," Dean Cheng, a senior resear...

A BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE...

A BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE...  By Bernard Bujold - Justin Trudeau's love affair with the Canadian government cottage at Harrington Lake dates back to his childhood, with his father Pierre E. Trudeau.  The Harrington Lake residence was the centre of controversy this week as Prime Minister Trudeau was criticized for his decision to join his family there for the Easter break (April 13, 2020), despite the fact that public health officials in Quebec asked Ontario residents not to visit their country homes across the provincial border in the midst of a coronavirus crisis.  The 2.1-hectare property (cottage) consists of four buildings: the main house, the staff house, the guest house for distinguished guests and a house for guests deemed less important . The property recently required $8.6 million in renovations, according to the National Capital Commission (NCC).  For Justin Trudeau, the Harrington Lake residence is of particular importance, and in his memoirs, published in...

A STORY OF CHSLD AND ROOMS RENTAL...

A STORY OF CHSLD AND ROOMS RENTAL...  By Bernard Bujold -  The horror story of the private CHSLD Herron shocked Quebecers. But what the general public doesn't know is that the Quebec government "buys" thousands of places in the private network, at least 10,000 places according to the current count.  The Coronavirus crisis has shaken the government's crutch!  With the virus, the government has increased the rate of transfer of sick seniors from hospitals to private residences to free up hospital beds in order to be ready for the virus. The Private Residences should have refused the requests because they were not able to deliver the requested goods.  The buyer (the government) ended up with a seller who had nothing left in inventory.  La Presse publishes a complete portrait of the failure of CHSLDs in Quebec.  https://www.lapresse.ca/covid-19/202004/17/01-5269906-etablissements-pour-aines-la-bequille-du-reseau-chancelle.php
