I like skating on the ice but I hate cold temperatures, rain and wind... 
My favorite place in Montreal is 1000 de la Gauchetière! 
The building inspires me since its construction and it reminds me of big cities like New York. The ice rink is unique! 
Even my faithful Ulysses loves the place...

MOVIES FROM THE 2018 MONTREAL WORLD FILM FESTIVAL - by Bernard Bujold- The number of films registered in the 2018 FFM is much smaller than in the beautiful years of the festival but the quality of the films is far from diminished! Despite the lack of resources of the organizers of the FFM, the filmmakers who are there brought films of high quality. As an example the Mia Tate's film "CAMPESINO", a film about the lives of Cuban farmers.  This film is based on three elements: 1- the documentary film which is in itself very well done according to the art of documentary; 2- the story of the film that introduces us to this American amateur photographer, Carl Oelerich, who visits the same Cuban village every year since 2002; 3- the history of these Cuban farmers still living according to the ancient customs dating from the Castro Cuban Revolution in January 1959. Mia Tate's film has been shown at the FFM, but there is every reason to believe that it will become a TV ...

SATURDAY EVENING WITH GOOGLE HOME -  By Bernard Bujold -  The adventure began after a dinner with friends on a Saturday night as we quarreled about the age of Viola Léger, the one who immortalized the SAGOUINE.  The new toy of the hour is GOOGLE HOME a kind of verbal robot that looks, less perfected, WINSTON of the new novel ORIGIN by Dan Brown.  Finally, we can say that GOOGLE is a little magic because we were able to easily trace, thanks to the Google Home robot, the age of Viola; rediscovered the poet poet Acadian DONAT LACROIX and his song "JOS FREDRIC"; and to complete the virtual journey with the discovery of the Acadian country singer from Hâvre St-Pierre, Carolyne Jomphe. PIERRE MARCOTTE BIOGRAPHY

PIERRE MARCOTTE BIOGRAPHY- By Bernard Bujold -  I caught myself reading the biography (in French) of Pierre Marcotte (80 years old) who I briefly knew in another life while he was running restaurant Hélène de Champlain.  To my delight, I loved reading his book in a question-and-answer format, much like a big TV interview. In a sense, his biography is an overview of the history of Quebec from the 1960s to 2010, especially about the artists but also the restoration and the TV business. The book is ultimately a look at life and time who passed.  Conclusion: The more the times change, the more it's the same...  A beautiful reading.  SEE PIERRE MARCOTTE
